Getting Your Gold to Glitter
The wise and celebrated Jim Rohn taught:
“The opportunity to live an extraordinary life lies within you. In order to climb the ladder of success, you must work harder on yourself than on your current job. As you work hard on your job, you make a living. When you work hard on yourself, you can make a fortune.”
I agree and believe one key is to take every opportunity to learn…….a few minutes here and a few minutes there………..line upon line, precept upon precept.
Yesterday (in one of those moments) I came across these lessons worth remembering;
1. “Although they are from the same species, there’s a difference between a jack ass and a stallion.”
(I witness this one often, and you do too!)
2. “All that glitters is not gold”
(Focus on the right things and your RESULTS will be astounding – don’t forget though that it’s important to make mistakes often so we can recognize the gold)
3. “A set of morals is more powerful than a set of laws.”
(We wouldn’t need laws if people always chose to do the right thing……..see #1)
The lesson: We’re nearing the end of the year so it’s time to take score.
I’m not as internationally recognized as Jim Rohn, but I have often said: “Things that get measured get improved or removed.”
Why not take a good look at 2015 and set some new priorities!!
Smiles, have a GREAT week and Keep on Seeking………………….Mark
