I’m Not the Billionaire I Hoped to Be!
My bracket is a wash and my bank account doesn’t suddenly end in 7 zeros.
Say good-bye to our chance…………….oh well.
Remember the snappy song Bruno Mars recorded a couple years ago, “I want to be a billionaire”?
Like many people (me included), you were likely singing it (at least the first line), humming it, and just wondering what having a billion dollars would be like.
But………..according to a Princeton University study, no matter how much more than $75,000 people in the U.S. make, they don’t report any greater degree of happiness.
After 75K, you control your happiness factor! Does that depress YOU?
When I look back on what has brought me happiness, it has been experiences, not money.
It’s also true that it’s better to possess experience than to gain it, for experience is sometimes like a bruise. It feels better after it quits hurting.
But I’m happy, really happy. Some days are happier than others and that’s OK.
We should make it a priority to find some level of happiness every day.
Focus on it. Embrace it. Share our happiness with others. We really have so much to be happy about.
Even without those billion dollars!
Smiles, have a great week, and Keep On Seeking………………..Mark
