A Principle with A Promise
If you recall ever seeing me speak or teach (other than at church), there is always a loop of hundreds of quotes scrolling on the screen for 30 minutes or so prior to my presentation and sometimes during breaks if I’m doing multiple hours. I’ve spent more than 10 years creating a power point of them.
I personally read through them regularly. They help me think clearly and very often improve my day.
I was scanning some of those powerful quotes this morning looking for just the right quote to share with you, and this one jumped right off the power point slide.
“Defeat doesn’t finish a man, quit does. A man is not finished when he’s defeated. He’s finished when he quits.” Richard M Nixon – Our 37th President of the United States of America
You may not like President Nixon, but he was right.
You will always have situations or occurrences in your life that squash you. We all do.
Grumble and complain a little if you must, but don’t give up, charge forward. Set new priorities and get to work.
I don’t know what is going on in your life that is causing you to feel a little defeat, but put it aside. Do it right now. Don’t quit. Giving up is the lazy way out and you’re not lazy.
The rewards will be worth it…………I promise………….smiles and have a great week………………….Mark
