Really observe and listen, then act accordingly. Maybe even smile as if we’re meeting the Queen for the first time. There is power in decency and thoughtfulness.
In his classic book, How to Win Friends and Influence People, Dale Carnegie penned:
“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.”
If you want more business, more friends, and better relationships, behave decently. Behave decently because it’s the decent thing to do. Behave decently because it works.
