What did we do before GPS technology? We read a map.
In order to have that map, somebody had to chart out the landscape then draw it.
Lately, I’ve witnessed lots of folks depending too much on somebody else’s drawings. They often find that they are not satisfied with the results or wondering if they could not have found a more successful route that meets their personal needs and goals.
We shouldn’t always reinvent, but we should follow our own path. Reading and depending on someone else’s map or leisurely listening to directions leads to frustration and stagnates our success.
Sometimes it’s best to be uncomfortable and discover on your own. Neil Armstrong was once quoted as saying “If you woke up this morning and weren’t where you expected to be at this time in your life. Change……..”
Draw your own map…
