May 2, 2018 – Life is Not Always Fair

Life is not always fair when it passes out natural gifts like looks or talent, athleticism or wit, common sense or social skills…but no one was left out or was ever born without the potential for determination and character.

You may be at a disadvantage on a few things, but your depth of character and your potential for success are maximized only by your willingness to stretch, grow and exert a mighty effort.

New York Yankee great Mickey Mantle had a response for the critics who pointed out he had struck out a whopping 1,710 times in the course of his career.

Mickey’s response:

“They may be just strikeouts to some people, but to me every one was nearly a home run!”

I’ve never met anyone that got it right every time and I bet YOU haven’t either.

As French author Jules Renard once said;

“There are moments when everything goes well; don’t be frightened, it won’t last!”

Challenges help us achieve so don’t ever let negative self talk sabotage your success.

I believe you have the ability to slide safely into home plate.

If you’re determined I know you will, and I’m just one of a bunch of people that are rooting for you!

Smiles, have a GREAT week and Keep on Seeking...Mark
