Have you seen the pictures of Florida’s Mexico Beach Miracle House (this one was from Johnny Milano for the NY Times)?
Take a few minutes, click over to Google and look up a couple more of the pictures.
There are so many principles to be learned from this owner’s example of preparation.
1. Plan and prepare for the worst because it may actually happen. When you plan and prepare, you survive.
2. Cutting corners or just living by the minimum requirements can cost you in the long run (why do we insist on being satisfied with the average or any standard expectation).
3. Surround yourself with people that are smarter than you, even if it’s just dumb luck (the property owners behind the miracle house may have complained prior to the storm because they lost their view of the ocean, but how do you think they feel now?)
When the world around you takes an unexpected turn, preparing well will be your rope.
Grab the rope now while you can…you’ll always be glad you did...!
Smiles, have a GREAT week and Keep Building Trust...Mark
