Several weeks ago, I was at church in a foreign land (well…it was just Myrtle Beach, but that’s pretty foreign to me).
As the organist was finishing her prelude music, she slid slightly to the right on the organ bench which accidently moved her fingers to a whole new set of keys.
It didn’t take but 2 beats for her to adjust and correct her fingers, but for a brief moment, those new and different keys created a sound that startled most everyone in the chapel.
It was both unexpected and amusing (not laugh out loud amusing and certainly not laugh at her amusing, and we all knew she was terribly embarrassed), but to me it was interesting in how a simple act can change the entire meaning.
Our lives are just like that.
Slight changes can make significant differences.
Make a slight change, ever so positive, and your relationships can improve.
Make a slight change, ever so negative, and you can lose your job.
Make a slight change, ever so positive, and can win a gold medal.
Make a slight change, ever so negative, and you can drive off a cliff.
The key then is to make those slight but significant changes that will benefit you the most.
Today, take a few minutes and decide where to move your fingers.
That slight change will change your life!
Smiles, have a GREAT week and Keep Building Trust...Mark
